I really want to do a few cosplays over the summer and a dress form is pretty much necessary at this point, just because the hardest part for me is actually getting the size right. If I can get the size right, construction and sewing is easy.

Since tumblr is being weird and I can’t tell if my message went through right or not, I’ll say it again. Google DIY duct tape dress tutorials. Hell, everyone in our group who cosplays a lot should do this. All you need is an old T shirt, PVC pipe, a couple rolls of duct tape, and some shit to stuff it with. If you’re not planning on making a lot of costumes for anyone other than yourself, you don’t strictly NEED an adjustable dress form. For the time being it’s an economical option, and int he future if you decide buying a real dress form in a worthwhile investment you can do that. (This is also a useful trick for people who have figures that might be hard to fit to a cheap dress form)
